I side with whoever was trying to shhh the loud guy. That is definitely a pet peeve of mine, or as I like to call, "a onetwoten."
A onetwoten is the shortcut mantra I take when a situation requires me to remain calm and not freak out. It's short for counting from one to ten as the old anger management commercials used to say. I quietly say it to P so she's aware of my cackles rising because of the plane jerk, the loud symphony couple, or the bmv ass cutting me off from the right. Occasionally I'll throw out a "whoah! look at that onetwoten."
i don't get people that think they can just blah blah blah during concerts. i give them the death stare because i just can't help but fixate on that. my ears just tune right into their yammering, and i'd freak out, too.
