IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS: One of the reasons I'm loathe to consider leaving Chicago (for better weather and/or career options) is this: I get to watch the Bears/Cubs on TV pretty much all the time. Sometimes I wonder how my brother in Ann Arbor and my dad in St. Clair Shores can stand missing the Bears game. I'm sitting HERE watching, feeling totally excited and immersed, and I can't believe they're not sitting THERE wondering, wishing, missing.

Such is the grip of sports.

One does find other things to become immersed in, and then has a treats like a Bears/Cubs game to enjoy every once in a while. I know I found it difficult at first, but somehow I managed, and life did go on.:)

Are you embarrassed to say your brother lives in Canton? Boring, white-bread, suburban-sprawl, Canton? Or did you really not know?

No embarassment. Just thought Ann Arbor was better known. Probably should have called St. Clair Shores "Detroit," by that logic. Frankly, didn't think too much about it. As much as I've seen of Canton, I like it. Seems like a great town.

Wasn't trying to be a snit. Actually, now that I read my comment, realize it sounded kinda' bratty. Sorry.

I intend to hold a grudge at least until you come in for Mikey's baptism.
